Profile Information
I am French, 39 year-old, and married to Gerard (an Irishman from Wexford) and we have 3 sons (of 9, 7 and 3 years old) and I also have a step-son who is 20 and lives with his mum in the UK.
For the past 15 years, I have worked (based mainly in the UK) as a French localisator (a translator specialised in the translation of any material related to Information Technology - software applications, help texts, websites, documentation, collaterals, marketing material, etc.). Originally I wanted to be a scientific translator as I had a strong interest in English and Spanish as well as sciences and biology. However, life did not happen as planned (does it ever?) and I got directed towards the new technologies (IT). I have thoroughly enjoyed my work as a localisator despite the pressure and the stress that inevitably come with the job. Being a translator also enabled me to work from home and "round" the children without having to rely too much on childminding. I do still enjoy the occasional work but I no longer wish to translate full-time.
All my life, I have been interested in health issues and the new (or sometimes ancient) alternative medicines available. Mainly as a hobby, I have always kept a strong interest in health and generally in caring for people. I have now been based in Ireland for the past 4 years, but when I was leaving in England (where I lived for more than 13 years) I used to do volunteer work for the Alzheimer's Society. My granddad died of Alzheimer a few years ago and this is why I have a strong interest in helping sufferers of that terrible disease as well as their carers.
My personal Holy Grail
I discovered EFT in 2004 and have been using it daily ever since. I started working with family and friends on various issues (toothache - headache - backache - sport injury - even depression and stroke). Since I was getting excellent results (often quicker than with over the counter remedies), I carried on applying EFT on every issue I was confronted with.
After seeing amazing results with EFT, I have come to realise its potentials (unlimited, I am now convinced!!!). I really was compelled to get more involved. I decided to study the basic course as designed by Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, and I successfully passed the exam for the Certification of Completion ("EFT-CC"). I then went on with the next level (the Advanced Certificate of Completion - "Steps toward becoming the Ultimate Therapist") which I have also completed and passed ("EFT-ADV").
For me, EFT has become the open door to the new career I have always longed for. Thanks to EFT I am finally able to fulfil my dream of helping people (young and old) and, as far as I can, try and relieve some of the suffering that somehow plagues each of us.
Other hobbies & activities
For many years now, I have been teaching French, to individuals or groups (up to 5 students).
I teach all levels: children - beginners - primary/secondary schools - college/university - advanced - business.
